Hello and welcome to the page where I tell you a bit about myself and why I set up Ashkeys.com.
Firstly I set up this website with the help of my husband so please excuse us if the site has is not as 'flashy' as other sites. We will try to improve it as time goes by, but for now we hope we have a website that is pleasant to look at and that contains the information you require to purchase in confidence.
About Me
I have a background in scientific research but have always had a personal interest in using good quality aromatherapy body care products. My decision to start making my own aromatherapy products was born out of frustration at not being able to find reasonably priced toiletries that were both effective and fragrant. Initial trials with friends and family were extremely successful and so I have been encouraged to launch Ashkeys.com. My main supplier of cosmetic bases, essential oils and other ingredients is Freshfields Aromatherapy where both David and George have been extremely helpful, providing me with excellent advice and their top quality ingredients which are an inspiration in themselves. The Gardener's Hand Cream was the first product I created. It had to satisfy extremely demanding requirements, I wanted something that would sooth and soften my hands after a day of hard gardening as well as nourishing the nails/cuticles. It also had to be easily absorbed and not sticky. A blend of cocoa butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, calendula, evening primrose, wheatgerm combined with essential oils of lemongrass, lavender, rosemary and frankincense was the final result.Other blends followed on either as commissions or as a result of my own 'smell memories'.
